Prof Joe McDonald joins SARD as Medical Director
We are delighted to announce Professor Joe McDonald’s appointment as Medical Director. Joe has been a long time user of SARD’s appraisal and revalidation system as Medical Director at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. He was previously national clinical lead for IT. As an experienced CCIO, he was instrumental in founding the ground-breakingly successful Great North Care Record - a vision of joined up EPRs that has since been replicated in other areas of the UK.
Joe brings a deep understanding of health IT to SARD’s portfolio of skills. We can’t wait to get working with him to use that knowledge in improving workforce systems across the NHS.
